A spawner spawns a portal as you press the button to activate the Redstone. The portal is not different than those which created a portal gun for this Minecraft game. The Portal Spawners: As you place a portal spawner, it shows a GUI display which has all the colours you need.Besides, the portals have an outline through the similar blocks in the same game of the Portal and Portal 2. When there are 2 portals with the corresponding colours, you can be able to see through from one to another. By pressing the button ‘ R’ in the default settings, the portal will be held in your hands. If there is any location valid, there will be a small particle which has a similar effect as the Portal. To create it, you just need to click the right and left-mouse. Once that was done the next challenge was making all of my different functions work during a level transition (which was not that difficult). The elevators alone took me 6 months to model and another month to create all of the logic/bugfix. Since there have been no proper Portal maps, I wanted to try my best to stay as faithful to the game as I can, and by doing that, a lot of things take a while to create and bugfix. Portals take on the texture of the background block I did originally plan to show more, but since an update was very overdue, I just completed the first 2 test chambers and updated them with the new features.
